Engine 19, Ladder 8 and Battalion 2 temporarily moved out of our Bergen Ave quarters. 2 Bergen Ave was built in 1910 and like most older firehouses it is desperate for a renovation. During this 1.4 million dollar renovation E19 and L8 have set up temporary quarters at 255 Kearney Ave along with Engine 17 and Ladder 11. E17 and L11 moved into this former warehouse in November '07 while its decided what to do with a sagging floor at their Boyd Ave quarters. In the mean time the 2nd Battalion Chief is using Boyd Ave as his temporary home until 2 Bergen Ave is completed. If all goes well we anticipate returning to Bergen Ave around December 2008.
